I grew up and aged out in the foster system. That kind of start doesn’t hand you much, but it taught me how to adapt, survive, and keep moving forward. I became a single parent and raised three kids, then four, including my youngest son, who is nonverbal and autistic. Life didn’t pause for me, and I didn’t pause for it either. Through it all, I kept chasing the outdoors. I hiked. I kayaked. I traveled. The road became both escape and home. On one of those hikes, a bad fall nearly cost me my thumb. I didn’t lose it, but the damage was permanent. To this day, I live with limited function in that hand, but I kept moving. I kept going.

Somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera and started capturing the landscapes I passed through. That quiet habit turned into something more. My photography was featured in the local news—and one of those images caught the attention of a major magazine publisher, going viral. The stories didn’t stop there. A Romanian newspaper even ran a piece on me as a digital nomad, showing how far a life can reach when you refuse to give up.

These days, I share the road with Riven, my blue heeler mix who spent nearly a year in a rescue shelter before we found each other. He’s sharp, loyal, and keeps a steady eye on everything, especially me. Like me, he’s proof that a rough start doesn’t have to define the journey.

I now live full-time out of my vehicle, a car camper by choice and by grit. What started as survival turned into purpose. I’ve built a growing online community of over 27,000 members who live, dream, and wander just like I do.

This site brings together all of it, my photography, my travels, my stories, and the hard-earned freedom that comes from carving your own path.

Thank you for walking a while with me. See you out there.
